Frazzled Four

We're down to just four days before our adventure into the as yet unknown locale begins!  Whether or not we actually leave on Saturday, everything has to be done by then and for the next few days we'll have to be ready to leave at little more than a moment's notice.

Of course, this week is also one in which I decided to have a social life, so mixed in amongst all of the laundry, multiple last minute Target runs, getting that dress altered that I've been meaning to take in for weeks, bringing the dogs for their bordatella shots because somehow they are ALWAYS due for their bordatella shots, not to mention packing and finalizing our tentative itinerary and list of hotels and tour companies, I've got evenings out with friends and book clubs cutting into laundry folding time most evenings.

We went to the store on Sunday and stocked up on tour books--we're stacked, packed and ready to attack with Uncle Rick's and Fodor's take on Paris, Munich, and Bavaria.  We've made decisions about possible cities that may get the axe if it takes us a little longer to get to Europe than expected, and I'm trying not to think about the possibility that we won't get to Europe at all.

Amazing guest posts have started trickling in, outfits are coming together in my suitcase staging area, I'm already falling behind on Google Reader, and the dogs are beginning to seem highly suspicious of all of the activity being undertaken by their normally sedentary mom.

Remember how I said I was trying really hard not to get my hopes up about this trip?

Well, my hopes are really, really up.

I am so excited for you!!! I just took a killer shopping trip to TJ Maxx on Sunday to try and get my 'Greece wardrobe!'....lol. Trying to fit 2 weeks worth of clothes in a backpack!! So outfits I can wear more than once and in more than one way. I'll let ya know how that goes.

Enjoy the anticipation of the travel, the adventure of exploring a new place, and just the fact that you are TOGETHER!!! :)

"suitcase staging area". Love it. I'm like you that as soon as a trip is imminent, I'm doing things (like altering dresses and buying new clothes) that I should have done months prior.
