...Became obsessed with Jon and Kate Plus 8. I alternated between feeling maternal twinges and abject horror at the concept of having six infants, never mind one!
...Smiled at the beauty of the irises in my Valentine's Day bouquet finally blossoming. The striking orange daisies finally met their fate in the garbage can this morning, but the yellow lilies have now begun to bloom.
...Finished twenty-five wedding gift thank you notes before I realized that I didn't have enough stamps or return address labels. I ordered new return address labels, effectively giving myself a 3-7 day extension!
...Edited the first fifty six pages of my story and wrote another 4,000 words.
...Vacuumed, dusted, and washed and folded EIGHT loads of laundry.
...Sighed and swooned over the tempestuous love affair between Lizzie
and Darcy. I love the Keira Knightly version of P&P, but the BBC
classic just never gets old!
How was your weekend?

Sounds like you had such a wonderful weekend. I'm jealous!

Aww that sounds wonderful. I was in California helping my Grandparents for the weekend -- also playing a little bit.
I have P&P recorded and I can't wait to drool over Colin Firth. Swoooon.

It amazes me that John & Kate are able to keep their wits about them at all.
Seriously? I'd go nuts!

I am insanely jealous of your productivity.

I would be hard-pressed to imagine having one at this point, let alone eight!

My weekend was FANTASTIC, but you already know this. :)
And I feel the EXACT SAME WAY about Jon & Kate Plus 8.
(Sorry for all the caps.)

I love a weekend - especially a holiday weekend - when I can use it productively, rather than going away and letting all the life stuff pile up. I can't believe you did so much writing (thank yous included)! What great self-discipline.
I will gladly watch ANY version of P&P.
J & K + 8 looks like something I would like. Is it a season-long show? Just following them around all day, or what? Perhaps I can just satisfy myself with SuperNanny?
And Gerber daisies are one of my favorite flowers. It's very sad how short-lived they are. I wonder whether your bouquet was composed so that as soon as the daisies went away the lilies would start to flower...on purpose. That would be pretty cool planning.

I really love any version of P&P...you can't go wrong.
I tried to watch Jon & Kate Plus 8...but Kate pissed me off. She always seems so annoyed that she has children at all...let alone 8 of them!

Wow, you are so incredibly productive, haha.
And JKP8, love it. I caught a mini-marathon last weekend and couldn't stop watching. It's the best form of birth control out there I've decided, haha.

Don't you just LOVE Kate? She is hilarious and seems like she'd be so fun to hang out with (as long as she leaves all the babies home!)
The highlight of my weekend, of course, was the fun drugs Dr. Waffle gave me. Weeeeee!!!!!

Way to GO, Ang!! You accomplished most of what you set out to do! I'm impressed!
Don't even ASK about my weekend. :-|
Although, it DID have its good moments.........
Mmmm...limoncello cake!
;-)

I've never heard of JAKP, but I'm definitely feeling 100% abject horror and 0% maternal twinges at the thought of having to take care of half a dozen babies (AT THE SAME TIME!!!) for about 2 decades of my life.
I hope that doesn't make me sound like a cold-hearted witch... or a man. :-P

what a fun way to recap your weekend. I don't know about 8 loads of laundry that's pretty insane!

Jon & Kate + 8 amazes me, sometimes we sit and watch with our mouths open. I know I'd go nuts. ;-)
Now 8 loads of laundry, that's pretty insane. Can I hire you for a weekend? hehe

I love Jon and Kate plus 8 - I am on the horror side when it comes to thinking of doing that on my own....gah!

I saw the Plus 8 Family at the airport in Denver a month ago! My husband and I were excited, especially since we have a special affinity for Asian-White families.
By the way, we have a Dyson too, and are OBSESSED with how wonderful it is :)

I loved that version of P&P... although I don't think I've seen the woman in any other role and I thought she was lovely. And of course, Colin Firth. Well, get out. Yum!
I alternately love JAKP but I think Kate is a shrew most of the time. She's certainly a pain in the ass to her hubby (sorry RG, I guess we disagree! :)) fairly often. But she certainly has a right to be a shrew, never a moment to herself. Ugh. I can't think of anything worse.
Lovely flowers!
hugs,
anne
